In this role you will:
a. Impact on the Business / Function
- Direct supervision and management of day-to-day operations related to the direct custody and clearing (DCC) business.
- Assist the
development and implementation of strategy for Securities Services (SS) and drive strategic initiatives of DCC in Vietnam.
- Direct supervision and management of day-to-day operations related to the DCC business by:
+ Quality of service given to clients and client feedback/complaints.
+ Ensuring regular meetings with clients/
Client Services team to obtain their feedback and making demonstrable advances in development of service.
+ Timeliness of reporting to clients, regional office and regulators.
+ Oversight/ supervision of outsourcing activities.
+ Ensuring all commitments given in the service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
b. Customers / Stakeholders
- Maintain relationships with regulators/market participants/regional stakeholders that facilitates influencing changes in regulations and market infrastructure. Propose and drive changes in the industry.
c. Leadership & Teamwork
- Leadership of DCC team and part of leadership team for HSS.
- Develop, train, and motivate staff to perform to best of their abilities.
- Build a good working
environment and encourage sharing and teamwork.
- Give proper coaching and consulting to staff.
d. Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Maintain HSBC control standards and follow Group Compliance Policy to minimize operational risk.
- Remain compliant with and ensure awareness of Audit and Group requirements and other internal guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with local regulations.
- Timely implement internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by regulators
