* (Junior) Materials and Corrosion Engineer is responsible for providing materials and corrosion support to the
Asset Integrity. Typical duties would include the following:
- Resolve problems related to materials performance, repairs and corrosion management of refinery
equipment.
- Specify NDE methods needed to assure the quality of repair work and interpretation of results.
- Contribute to work plans for events such as planned shutdowns.
- Interface with other refinery personnel to provide advice and front-line metallurgical support to
maintenance and operations personnel.
- Oversee the application and interpretation of Vietnamese material and corrosion codes and other

- Write and contribute to others' Root Cause Analysis reports.

* For Inspection Engineer (RBI)
- Fully comply with NSRP regulations in Health, Safety and Environment Management.
- Consolidate existing CMLs to ensure they are in the right RBI Circuit IDs.
- If required, acting for Inspection Leader during his absence as being authorized.
- Ensure that all Assets with CMLs have accurate CML mark ups in PCMS.
- Coordinator with
Maintenance planner and Operation to receive information/WO and share with Site Engineer using PCMS software.
- Study the inspection procedures/practices. Review/edit inspection reports when required and ensures that inspection records are well maintained.
- Make inspection report to management
- Performs other related duties as directed.
- Develop the preventive inspection plan and updating to computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and Plant Condition Management Software (PCMS) system for equipment & piping and monitor Refinery in service as required by Vietnamese regulation and international standards and best practices.
- Support with scheduling Inspections for assets based on RBI Target dates.
- Create Dummy CMLs for assets that have no CMLs
- Optimize the inspection plan in PCMS for planned and unplanned shutdown or as required by Vietnamese regulation.
- Site survey to confirm the plan is followed up. Cooperate with inspection control to report the progress to the Manager(s).
- Analyze inspection findings/abnormal conditions and recommended remedial measures for incident. Then, assign the risk & inspection factor to Risk Based Inspection.
- Support Inspection Leader to generate shutdown inspection work list for plant turnaround. Supervise the progress of preparation and recommend actions to achieve the turnaround preparation schedule.
- Review inspection history to have overdue of previous failures on the units as preparation for the RBI workshops.
- Familiarity and understanding of principle and operation of units in relation to technology process. Review the design drawings and comment on material selection, piping integrity, assembly, and corrosion mitigation.
- Transfer of previous inspection reports from excel files into PCMS Event Window.
- Select the operating parameters and input into the Integrity Operating Window for monitor.
- Checks calculation of retiring thickness and predicts remaining life, check calculations for determining permissible working pressure and temperature, and prepares the required action to update the inspection plan.
- Transfer of Piping Circuits Markup from marked up PFD (MSD) to P&ID to ensure all piping on P&ID is covered in the RBI program.
- Events grading of previous inspection post RBI workshop, as part of the RBI clean up phase.
- Optimize the Inspection plan in PCMS using on practical experience attained.
