- The Legal Department provides legal advocacy services directly to young people and families with legal needs, and to Blue Dragon management. Advocacy includes supporting families to get appropriate legal identity and ownership documents, investigating cases of child abuse, representing children in conflict with the law and rescuing, representing and advocating for trafficking victims. The Legal Department also conducts training and capacity building of local authorities to improve their skills and knowledge about anti-trafficking and child rights.

*** Duties and responsibilities
Project coordination
- Support Chief Lawyer and
Program Managers with coordination of TIP partner training, research.
- Collaborate with all Program teams to make annual work plans and budgets for anti-trafficking activities.
- Monitor implementation of TIP activities, ensure adherence with donor requirements and Blue Dragon policies, and provide information for reporting to donors and partners.
- Establish and maintain systems to measure, compile, analyse and report project data; ensure the data is effectively used and distributed.
Leadership and Capacity Building
- Provide support and mentoring for the anti trafficking officer/s, including in financial management, planning, budgeting of activities, training and other anti-trafficking activities, monitoring and research.
- Oversee all financial management for activities directly implemented by the anti-trafficking team.
- In collaboration with the MEL coordinator and Program managers, ensure effective monitoring and impact measurement of anti- trafficking activities.
- Compile and submit monthly reports on anti-trafficking activities, and update management regularly on activities and impact.
Communications
- Promote Blue Dragon's TIP activities by sharing news and updates with other Blue Dragon departments and external agencies; improve systems for information flow
- Provide the Communications and Fundraising Department with information needed for communication with donors, fundraisers and developing promotional products.
Training and capacity building
- Provide training on anti-trafficking, child labour and safe migration for all Blue Dragon teams.
- Provide technical advice and mentoring for
program staff and partners related to trafficking and safe migration.
- Develop training materials for training of partners, beneficiaries and staff.
- Provide training on anti-trafficking for program partners and beneficiaries (youth, villagers, teachers, local officials, etc.).
Research
- Coordinate anti-trafficking research activities to enhance Blue Dragon's knowledge and ability to achieve its mission.
- Support external researchers, including through introducing them to program partners, arranging translation, assisting with access to relevant information, etc.
- Research, compile and make available relevant research and information about human trafficking, particularly in Vietnam and region
External stakeholders
- Represent Blue Dragon when required with external partners such as Ministry of Public Security, Police academy,
international Anti-human trafficking organisations, etc.
Others
- Other duties as required

- The Anti-Trafficking coordinator both supports and is supported by all members of the Legal Department and directly reports to the Chief Lawyer. The Coordinator will also be supported by the Resources and Partnerships Leader.
