OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Sales & Marketing Department is to ensure that the freight forwarding business unit achieves both its annual financial objectives and its strategic intent, to grow revenue, profitably across the trading base of Corporate Accounts, Field Sales and Telesales segments through:
- Acquisition of new customers
- Retention and Development of Existing Customers
The above will be achieved through a focused sales strategy that must be supported by an aligned structure with the regional sales organization, dedicating resources to one of 3 sales channels determined by customer size and aligned within one of six focus vertical markets (Hi-Tech, E-commerce, FMCG, Industrial, Retail/Fashion, Automotive). This structure will present one face to the customer, sell the full range of GEODIS products and solutions with priority being to offer integrated solutions, insuring a high degree of customer retention and significant growth potential.
The Sales & Marketing Department supports the Go To Market strategy by increasing revenue and account acquisition at a growth rate above the market and creates a balanced customer portfolio and revenue mix (e.g. expanded profitable business and number of customers across the 3 sales channels).
The department achieves this by consistently improving our ability to win, retain and develop profitable customers using defined product offerings, and clearly articulated value propositions prescribed for each vertical across the three sales channels.
The sales strategy of GEODS APAC is enabled and supported by data. High level analytics of all available GEODIS and market data drives all internal and external initiatives, to ensure a high accuracy in target setting and result evaluation.
Regional Sales Analytics & Data Specialist contributes to sales enablement projects, data quality of reports and dashboards. The candidate will be exposed to daily sales operations in freight forwarding environment and help to enable APAC sales to be more efficient and effective in their work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Quality Optimization & Management - Weighting 60%
- Drive Mass Data Management (MDM) and accuracy at APAC level which will impact GEODIS globally.
- Reduce Pending MDM synchronization & Duplicate accounts between GEODIS systems: accounts created by sales rep in CRM system to be mapped quickly with central data management system (MDM).
- Correct Vertical Markets at legal account level: customer industry to be captured correctly in Master Data systems.
- Fulfill Customer Hierarchies at Commercial Ultimate level: legal accounts to be linked correctly to Commercial Ultimate
- Assist with creation of MDM training materials for sales users & NSUs
Sales Analytics - Weighting 40%
- Assist with monitoring SFDC data quality of inputs (APAC Data Quality Scorecard and other additional metrics)
- Assist with the data quality, organize, cleaning existing data
- Support ad hoc reporting required
- Proactively help out in tasks that contribute to sales enablement projects

WORKING EXPERIENCE & JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Studying Bachelor's degree in related field or Business Management
- Open for
fresh graduates or 1-2 years of experience
- Strong interest in data, data processes & systems; detail-orientated, reliable and high level of curiosity/willingness to learn.
- Strong in English written and verbal communication skills to communicate with stakeholders.
- Good in using Internet for searching companies' information.
- Experience in data management projects would be an advantage.
- Good attitude, willing to learn
- Open to working in a multinational environment
- Comfortable and skilled in data manipulation
- Strong Excel skills required - Power Query, Power Pivot.
- Advantageous to have: PowerBI / SQL experience
