PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
To oversee all aspects of Marketing, PR and Communications between the Company and the travel trade industry. This includes supervision of the Marketing team members, job delegation and the ability to plan, write and execute marketing and communications for Trails of Indochina along with its associated brands in visual, written and digital formats.
1. Business Management:
• Work with the Director to develop the annual Marketing plan and calendar in accordance with the business plan
• Set clear goals and targets for Marketing and cascade to team members
• Report on productivity of promotions and disseminate to relevant Sales teams and our in-market Sales staff.
2. People Management:
• Supervise the work allocation in the Marketing department
• Regular meetings with direct reports, Product department and other key stakeholders
• Motivate and inspire the direct reports to achieve department goals
• Set KPIs and monitor performance of direct reports and address any issues
• Develop the skills of direct reports to enhance the team's performance
• Decision making authority for the recruitment and termination of Marketing staff
3. Marketing and Public Relations:
• Inspirational writing for PR, copy. Be responsible for writing all itineraries and marketing promotions
• Editing ability to review and re-write product descriptions on a daily basis
• Co-ordinate with other Departments within the company including Product, Contracting and Sales with producing new promotional packages and themed itineraries for individual markets/segments
• Oversee the design and production of marketing collateral including promotional material, flyers, brochures, presentation, advertisements and videos
• Ensure all
marketing communications, such as newsletters and press releases, are coordinated (with Product and Regional GMs) and delivered in a timely manner support marketing plan objectives
• Oversee the marketing calendar production and distribution, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Oversee TOI's online presence including website, blog and social media platforms
• Oversee and audit marketing and sales collaterals, incl. both English and Spanish materials
• Identify any potential PR and media opportunities and co-ordinate with GDOSM on a response
• Develop and circulate branding guidelines
• Assist with preparation for trade shows/appointments for trade shows around the world
• As required, assist with the preparation for agent "FAM" trips
4. Reporting:
• Monthly WIP with GDOSM
• Provide a barter / cash report on a quarterly basis
• Reporting on upcoming and expired promos to the international team.

Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for continual improvement across Marketing
• Attend seminars and events to keep up to date with the travel, marketing and advertising industries
• Coordinate with
International Sales, Sales, Contracting and Product for service improvement opportunities.
6. Project management:
• Oversee ad hoc projects as directed by GDOSM
7. Relationship Development:
• Oversee the relationship with International Sales Team and other Head Office departments, and support with Marketing advice and materials
• Oversee relationships with suppliers including designers and printers
