Packaging Technologistis responsible for supporting and conducting activities concerning OC Europe packaging as well as for designing and developing viable and high quality packaging components. Streamlining introduction of new products and optimizing the existing products, if necessary, as regards packaging materials. Packaging Technologist is responsible for continuous development of suppliers as regards technology and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manages and conducts packaging projects.
- Critical evaluation of current packaging practices and solutions by means of analysis and competition research.
- Monitors on-shelf quality, identifies improvement opportunities.
- Participates in Supply Chain improvement and simplification analysis and cost optimizing.
- Timely prepares and updates packaging specifications, related drawings, layouts, standards, tolerances and Quality Control Schedules.
- Ensures that all licensed packaging materials / layouts are conformant with the license and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluates suppliers by packaging related audits. Under the leadership of Site Packaging Manager, co-ordinates activities of suppliers concerning development and qualification of tools, equipment and new packaging materials, quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
- Documentation of progress and solutions aiming at spreading technology across the organization.
- Responsible for risk in relation to packaging projects.
- Maintains key relationships with external companies providing reprography and layout design services, suppliers of packaging materials, equipments, Artwork and Design Team, external manufacturers of finished goods.
- Co-ordination with reference to KPI, including: timely promotion of new products within specification and budget, minimizing interruption of the production process due to packaging materials, timely presentation of improvements of the Supply Chain, functioning of packaging suppliers
Requirements:
- Very good command of English
- Computer skills such as Excel, SAP
- Technical expertise gained by professional practice
- Presentation and negotiation skills
- Project management
