Responsibilities
Own and lead crucial projects (South & Primary market).
Develop and implement an effective SEO strategic plan to improve organic traffic, search ranking and Share of Voice (SEO SOV).
Use a variety of tools, competitive research and other methods to discover optimal keyword targets needed for marketing, product and other teams. Identify opportunities to increase organic search from images and videos, establishing best practices to do that across all areas of business
Work closely with other marketing counterparts/vendors to oversee SEO campaigns which include technical auditing and onsite implementation, link outreach and content development
Coordinate with other SEO folks and work closely with content managers and writers to identify new opportunities to bring in organic traffic
Build an off-page SEO strategy, which is inclusive of but not limited to, analysis of backlinks strategy quarterly, scouring competitor sites to identify outdated links, 404s, incorrect redirects, etc. Work on new opportunities to build high-value backlinks.
Identify opportunities for organic growth, through SEO optimisation, in all areas of the business and work closely with product team to build hypotheses and implement successful tests
Understand metrics and KPIs and continually suggest optimizations to improve performance
Establish best practices for site navigation, breadcrumbing, internal links, and HTML sitemaps
Prepare SEO reports on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to be shared with internal stakeholders, auditing team efforts, preparing competitive analysis and identifying areas for improvement
Requirement
Minimum of 3-4 years relevant, hands-on SEO experience
Experience with building and managing websites on WordPress
Experience with building multi-level links
Experience with SEO on Google Maps
Experience in using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, AHREFS, AWR, SimilarWeb and SEMrush
Understands Google Analytics and Google Search Console metrics
Awareness of data analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.
A solid knowledge of search engine spider, crawl and indexing process, while understanding the importance of XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, status code errors fix
Demonstrates a hunger to stay abreast of the latest industry developments and create reports on how changes will impact searches for all parts of the business
Technical SEO knowledge is a must
Able to produce high quality work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong attention to detail
Ability to present and communicate ideas in a coherent and effective manner
