The Opportunity
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Global Source to Pay Specialist at London or any existing Save the Children International office location.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Source to Pay (S2P) project forms a major part of Save the Children International's (SCI) High Performing Organisation (HPO) programme. The project's goal is to design, develop and implement a global Source to Pay solution ("ProSave") across 56 country and regional offices in SCI and to other SC Member organisations by end of 2022 - and to transform the current manual tendering, contract management, supplier management and purchasing processes into an automated solution.
The Global Source to Pay (ProSave) Specialist will be the person responsible for supporting and developing the usage of the system across the organisation, through the Regional Coordinators, for the countries in scope.
This consists of:
- Supporting ProSave by being the interface between users, champions, procurement and the S2P project team.
- Implementing the strategies around system adoption, jointly with the Procurement function and ensure consistency in the approach globally.
- Driving the global ProSave Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Management Indicators (MI's), used to measure Procurement performance and compliance with the procedures.
- Supporting the Sourcing activities managed by London users through effective management of supplier management officers to ensure following best practices and appropriate use of ProSave.
The role holder will support the creation, review and implementation of Change Requests and ensure system configurations/customisations are fit for purpose and in line with the overall Source to Pay strategy and Procurement procedure/policy.
This role is responsible for the
continuous improvement of the Source to Pay solution, based on internal feedback and market best practices.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Experience in reporting and analytics
- Experience of driving adoption and usage compliance.
- Experience of using procurement information and data, e.g. system usage, catalogues, supplier records, contracts, savings, planning
- Proven ability to work effectively with people from different cultures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to Save the Children values.
- Proficiency in English and ideally French, Spanish or Arabic.
- High attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience of procurement systems operationalisation.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Sourcing and Buying systems, as a super-user or in a functional support function.
- Experience of Procurement Support Models
- Experience of Procurement Operations Centres or Procurement Shared Service Centres
- Experience of working in a large and complex Procurement environment.
- Experience within global, multicultural, matrix organisations.
- Experience or knowledge of project management methodologies.
We can offer circa £39,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
