ISP Business & Operation Manager Key Responsibilities:
1. To actively model and promote the values and ethos of the School.
2. To be responsible for
strategic planning in relation to the business and support services of the School including catering, school bus, school facilities, resources and all financial implications and ensuring that the School uses its resources effectively and efficiently at all times.
3. To be responsible for personnel management, estate management, administration aspects of financial management, training and development of non-teaching support staff and all matters within the management of the School which are supportive to, but do not directly involve teaching and learning.
4. As a member of the Leadership Team to be responsible for: creating and delivering a shared corporate strategic vision; raising standards of learning and teaching; building capacity across the workforce; improving organization structures and functions so the school remains fit for purpose; building and sustaining effective relationships and communications strategies; working with the community and other services to improve the outcomes and well-being of students.
5. To assist Principal and co-ordinate new income streams which are supportive of the ethos of the school.
6. Enrolment management
• Overall in charge of student enrolment KPI for admission team
• Oversee the management of student records
• Maintain accurate enrolment information and statistics and provide regular reports as required.
• Assist the Principal and Management as required on enrolment-related inquiries.
7. Marketing
• To promote the school to different audiences, including the press, and raise its profile within the local community.
• To liaise with local businesses for fundraising, arranging vocational experience and joint projects.
8. Whole School Administration
• To manage the administrative function including the administrative ICT facilities.
• To provide for the preparation and production of all school records and publications.
• To act as a bridge to facilitate closer working relationships between teaching and support staff.
• To be responsible and accountable for key objectives in the one-year School Improvement Plan and the three-year Strategic Improvement Plan.
• Be responsible for the provision of specialist advice and guidance to the leadership team/Governing Body etc. on national and local guidelines/policy/statute etc.
• Interpret matters of policy/procedure/statute to ensure the school's compliance and initiate any appropriate action necessary.
9. Budget management
• In conjunction with the Principal, create the detailed budget for the school.
• To use financial management information, especially benchmarking tools, to identify areas of relative spend, assess trends, and directly advise the SLT accordingly.
• Monitor and control income and expenditure in relation to the school's budget.
• Monitor and control income and expenditure in relation to After school clubs in conjunction with the Principal.
• managing school operation expenses within the allocated budget.
• Monitor the administrative process of expenditures to ensure that they are well spent for school operations
10. Assist the Principal in:
• Transmission of information between the school and parents
• Organize school events, promotion events etc.
• Provide administrative support to SLT with effective management of the school, including correspondence, reports, agendas, and minutes. Ensure that follow up action is carried out in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the Principal.
• Undertake other tasks as and when assigned by the Line Superior and/or Management.
• Act as a translator/interpreter when needed.
