Be performing professional accounting duties to maintain, control over expenses, income, assets and liability of the hotel to ensure the security of the assets of the company.
Be responsible for the smooth running of the fortnightly payroll, prepare end of month journal, and all tasks related to the end of the month closing and review required.
In the absence of the Director of Finance &
Business support, you will be assist in completing the weekly and monthly forecast for the stakeholders and review P&L.
Support the wider leadership team to further build strong financial acumen in the business support side of the role.
Be expected to have Control/Ownership of the general ledger, all subledgers and all records of financial accounting.
Be involved in Preliminary reporting and analysis.
Take Ownership of Income Audits,
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier.
Take responsibility for the planning and execution of financial duties and projects of a company.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the business to ensure financial stability.
Draft budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
Manage the risks involved in the financial activities of the business.
Estimate short and long-term financial objectives by setting performance targets.
Compile financial reports and supervising month-end processes.
Draft procurement processes and signing off on purchase orders.
Manage and monitoring metrics, KPI tracking, and reports for the financial department.
Evaluate the financial performance of the organization and measure returns on investments.
Provide training to staff members regarding financial processes.
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

Proven ability to adapt to varying situations Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial Systems and Opera Property Management System would be advantageous.
Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Tourism, Commerce, Finance or Business
Administration related or higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting, Finance and,
2 years in hotel accounting or audit, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
