JOB PURPOSE:
The Academic Quality Officer plays an important role in controlling and assuring academic quality across all activities of Registry department. S/he will assist in the development of a set of academic quality-related policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to manage or address quality issues in accordance with the standards of partner universities', as well as local and international quality standards.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist and work collaboratively with operational officers and managers of all academic units to ensure that quality matters are promptly handled or referred for follow up or response.
• Ensure a high-quality education for students by analysing academic data at a School and University level, including graduation classification, assessment results, attendance figures and other academic data, and report on these to internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Head of Quality and Academic Development to ensure that policies and procedures are closely followed in order to assure academic quality and comply with
Quality Assurance standards.
• Provide administrative support to Programme Leaders and Heads of School in overseeing curriculum implementation and monitoring student academic performance.
• Provide data and analysis as requested to the Senior Management Team.
• Assist the Head of Quality and Academic Development/Head of Registry with university programme data management.
• Play a central supporting role in providing advice and guidance to academic teaching and
administrative staff to ensure compliance and meet the University's policies and procedures requirements.
• Carry out research projects and prepare reports in relation to academic matters arising as directed by Chief
Academic Officer.
• Carry out programmes development and programmes review as directed by Chief Academic Officer.
• Play a central supporting role in the University's internal and external reviews by quality assurance agencies (e.g. institutional reviews and curriculum reviews)
• Perform other related duties as required or directed by Head of Registry.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of Bachelor's degree
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese
• Experience working in an academic environment, preferably in international or foreign universities
• Strong presentation and writing skills, including developing and drafting guidance, templates, and briefings.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with limited supervision
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Master's degree
• Good knowledge and understanding of university structures, regulations and policy.
• Working experience in compliance area and/or project delivery.
• Experience in research and report writing to meet the expectations of audiences within higher education external agencies, both nationally and internationally.
• Ability to organise and manage projects successfully to completion.
• Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with a range of colleagues throughout the University.
